Lucky 9

Lucky 9 is a house-banked game scored like Baccarat and dealt like Blackjack using 1-8 standard 52-card decks. The object of the game is to beat the dealer with a higher valued hand as close to 9 as possible. Tens and face cards are worth 0 points, aces are worth 1 point, and 2-9 are scored at face value. Hands are valued as the last digit of their sum. Lucky 9 also includes optional bonus and progressive wagers.

  • Each player is dealt two cards and decides to Hit, Stand, or Split cards of the same value. The dealer receives two cards, one face-up and one face-down, standing with a two-card total of 5 or more or Draws a third card with a two-card total of 4 or lower.
  • A Lucky 9 is formed by the initial two cards totaling 9 points without any ten valued cards and wins paying 3 to 2.
  • A Natural 9 is formed by two cards totaling 9 with a ten-valued card or any two-card 9 as result of a split with wins paying 1 to 1.

Optional Bonus Wagers

Bonus 9: A player wagers that their hand (formed from the player’s first two cards and the dealer’s up card) achieves a point total of 9 and pays according to the posted paytable.

Tie: A player wagers that their hand will have the same point total as the dealer’s hand, regardless of the number of cards. The Tie wager pays 7 to 1.
